1. About Marr Rugby

Marr Rugby is a community club providing access to high quality and high performance or social rugby opportunities for players, coaches and spectators from Troon and its surrounding area.

We have four senior teams 3 Mens teams and 1 Womens team. Our Youth Rugby starts with the Mites for 3 and 4 year olds, moving onto Mini Rugby from P1 to P7 (age 5 - 11 years) and Youth Rugby covering all secondary school ages and stages. We have over 600 people involved in sport.

In partnership with Scottish Rugby and South Ayrshire Council we run Marr College’s School of Rugby initiative and provide inputs on rugby to every local primary school. This is led by one of our development officers, supported by our second development officer and our team of volunteer coaches.

Marr Rugby's youth rugby pathway is delivered through the teams it fields in collaboration with Marr College.

Our youth rugby focus has twin aims:
1) Support and improve the wellbeing and development our young people, and
2) provide a pathway into adult rugby and opportunity to enjoy, play and experience rugby at the highest possible levels.

As well as fielding boys teams from S1 to S6 stages we have now introduced girls rugby covering S1 to S6 stages and this coming year will expand this.
