Match Report Marr S2 v Hillhead/Jordanhill S2 - 25th August 2018

What a great start to the league season with a fantastic high scoring win over Hillhead/Jordanhill S2.

It was fantastic to see 16 boys turn out for the S2 team with fire in their bellies. You really could see that every single boy wanted to give it their all for the team. It was also fantastic to see so many of the boys' friends and families on the touchline cheering them on. A big thank you to each of you and we all hope to see you again in the matches to come, as it really does make a difference to the boys.

As soon as the whistle went today the boys switched on and went into game mode and the passing was slick.

Our boys played extremely well today and in every department we performed. Our tackles were strong, our rush defence worked extremely well (with every boy fully committed to this defensive style), our rucking was strong, our off-loads and pop passes were effective, our back moves worked well and a big shout out goes to the forwards who won 100% of the scrums faced today setting up many of the back moves.

Every single boy performed well today and each of them should be very happy with their individual performances. Well done boys.

Ruari took the Chainsaw today with some excellent and committed tackling.
Cole took the Jackal today with some very brave ball stealing at the rucks.
Fraser took the Stag with some very committed rucking.
Ross took the Bullet with some excellent clearing out in the ruck.

There were numerous fantastic individual performances today, but most importantly the boys used their individual skills to gel the team together and this really was a full team effort today. Long may it continue.
