Match Report Marr S2 v Carth QP S2 (Away) - Sunday 19th August 2018.

Today saw us get back to winning ways with a hard fought victory against a very physical Cartha QP side.

Cartha QP came at us straight away, and following a solo run from one of their big forwards we found ourselves a converted try down after just 3 minutes.

Following this we rallied well and once we got our passes going we played much better and leveled the game with a good try from Ted.

Cartha QP hit back straight away with a good team try following some strong rucking and good ball retention.

The match went on that way with one side scoring followed by the other.

As the match went on our forwards got more to grips with the speed of the game and they all put in a good shift and were very nearly rewarded with a forwards try in the corner, but we were tackled into touch just before the line.

Our backs continued their efforts and put together some great moves which ended with us scoring more tries following some good hand speed.

As the game went on more and more tries were scored and the game was on a knife edge in the last 10 minutes when we found ourselves leading.

Lots of tackles were put in and there was lots of effort to ensure we retained the ball at the breakdown and managed to shut out Cartha QP for the final 10 minutes ensuring we ran out deserved winners.

A great effort today by ALL the players and we like to welcome a new player, Calan, who played very well.
