Match Report Marr S2 v Hamilton Bulls S2 - Sunday 12th August 2018.

After a long 'deserved' summer break today saw our first match back against Hamilton Bulls S2.

It was great to see 13 fully committed boys turn out for a hard fought and very competitive 60 minute game.

In the end we were defeated 46-15 by a very strong, physical and well drilled side.

Hamilton came at us straight from the first whistle and after 20 minutes we were 15-4 down.

Our attaching play was fluid and often decisive, but we did come up against very strong defence who broke down many of our attacks, turning defence into attack very quickly which we struggled at first to get to grips with.

Towards the end of the match we were much more competitive and matched Hamilton well in defence and attack.

Ted scored 3 of our tries with some individual breaks and also finishing off a good team try involving lots of passes and off loads.

Ruari scored our other try with some quick thinking from a penalty, chasing down his own kick and scoring well in the corner following some fancy footwork.

All of the boys put in a hard shift today and they all deserve a lot of credit.

There were some great runs from the forwards including Rhys, Harvey and Callum running hard at the defensive line with good support from Cole, Chris and Fraser.

Our backs put together a good succession of passes going through Korbyn, Ruari, Josh, Dylan, Ross, Joe and Ted which was really pleasing to see.

Fraser took the Stag, Ted took the Chainsaw and Ruari took the Jackal. Well done lads.

I really can't stress enough that all of the boys really gave it their all today and really do deserve a huge pat on the back.
