MARR 3RD XV versus KILMARNOCK 2ND XV TENNENTS WEST RESERVE LEAGUE 1 KICK OFF 3PM

MARR will be looking for a win, as they make their third trip to the borders this season.

It is the first time in Marr’s history that we have played at Netherdale , Gala’s famous ground. This means that Marr have now played in every major rugby ground in Scotland, including Murrayfield and Scotstoun.
The only time Marr has met Gala before, was the National 1 playoff on the 22nd April 2016 at Stirling Counties ground, where Gala won a tight encounter 22-10.
Craig Redpath has been forced to make a few changes with Fraser Grant, Stephen Adair and Jack Scott, making way for Kris Kirk, Olli Rossi and Scott Bickerstaff. Also at scrum half, Ali Hazel replaces his brother Findlay, after Findlay was involved in a car accident last Wednesday. Findlay did suffer minor cuts and bruises, but I am told he is fine and should be available next week.
It is indeed great to see the return of the towering figure of Kris Kirk to the Marr fold. Also, Marr’s flying winger Scott Bickerstaff, makes a welcome return to the wing for Marr, after a few weeks out with injury.
The Marr faithful will be happy to see last year’s captain Angus Johnston make a return to the Marr bench. I am sure Gus will be looking to make an impact when he comes on.

Marr’s second XV face a trip to Hamilton Bulls but will be encouraged after their fantastic win over Melrose last week.

The 3rd XV face Kilmarnock’s 2nd XV at Fullarton, so please make the effort to go up and cheer on the lads.
