Marr 1st XV will be keen to keep the momentum going when they visit GHA Rugby at Braidholm this Saturday.
GHA like Marr, have faced a recent defeat at the hands of Currie, so they will be looking to put that result far behind them, with a strong performance against Craig Redpaths team.
Craig has got a stronger squad this week to choose from, with the return of Robert Brown, Greg Montgomery, Colin Sturgeon and Fraser Grant. Missing this week is winger Jack Scott who is unavailable.
Colin Sturgeon moves back to his stand-off position with Calum Inglis moving to full back. William Farquhar comes in at tighthead and Brandon Sweet moves to the bench. Cody Cunningham keeps his flanker jersey after his strong performance last week, keeping Robert Brown on the bench.
Great to see the return of experienced Fraser Grant back into the Marr boiler room.
The Marr coaching team are well versed in the knowledge that GHA, being our local rivals will provide a stern test and will be wanting to show that Marr are still up for this Premier league challenge. GHA’s last home game, was a fine victory against Hawick, so we understand that this match will be tough.
Marr 2nd XV face a tough challenge with their young team on the adjoining pitch, but after their fine win against Ayr last week confidence will be high.
Marr 3rd XV face Cambuslang 2nd XV at Fullarton. So, if you cannot make it up to watch at Braidholm, please get along to watch our highly entertaining 3rd XV at Fullarton. The bar will be open!
