Marr Rugby's 3rd XV continued their winning run with a convincing with against second placed Kilmarnock who were stung by the intensity, power and pace of Marr's forwards and backs.
The packs were almost evenly matched - Kilmarnock had a slight edge of height and weight but this was countered by the ferocity and determination of Marr's play in set piece and at the breakdown. Added to this Marr fully capitalised on the pace of their lively back line, in particular Ali and Findlay Hazel who kept quick service going from the breakdown, while out wide Ewan McGerty and Thomas Watkins enjoyed causing mayhem for Kilmarnock's defence.
The win consolidated Marr's third place league position and with three matches remaining it looks as though they will maintain this - not a bad result for their first season in this higher league.
