Royal Bank RugbyForce 2018 at Marr Rugby (11.8.18)

This Saturday sees the return of the annual Royal Bank of Scotland RugbyForce initiave at rugby clubs across Scotland, including Marr Rugby at Fullarton.

The initiative is part of pre-season preparations and a chance for current and potential members to come up to their local rugby clubs to see what’s happening and lend a hand in some chores in and around the clubhouse to get the place spick and span for the new season.

With the help and support of members and local businesses we’ve already been doing some work in and about the clubhouse and grounds. This includes Stephen McNab and a team from GE Aviation, who with support from AG Peters Garage and Hillhouse Quarry Group, have created a new pathway running from the back of the clubhouse to the side of the pitch. David Purdie has once again done a sterling job with his strimmer to help keep Hecklers Hill tidy and Craig Morton from MOR Constriction is helping us install baby changing facilities.

Thanks to one and all.

NOW IT’S YOUR CHANCE TO HELP

With weather conditions uncertain, Bert Johnstone has identified a list of small tasks inside the club that involves some deep cleaning of a selection of areas. We can supply cleaning material – all we need is a small number of volunteers who don’t mind getting their sleeves rolled up.

Weather permitting we will also have some external work doing a final tidy up of the surrounds.

If you are able to help please be at the club from 9.30am. We aim to work through until @ 1pm then let people get fed, watered and changed to be set up to enjoy watching the pre-season match against Stirling County.

To help with numbers please let us know here if you can come along to support Marr Rugby and Royal Bank RugbyForce 2018

After the match there will be the inaugural Murray Grierson Memorial kicking competition – details to follow.
