In this penultimate weekend of league fixtures Marr Rugby’s 1st and 2nd XV’s have all to play for.

If they win the 2s will secure the league title and reap the rewards of outstanding performances for the whole season. With two matches remaining their destiny is in the hands of the players as they seek to move on to a more competitive league.

Meanwhile the 1s hold a four point advantage over Edinburgh Accies for pole position in NL1. Both clubs have two matches to play, There is a single guaranteed promotion spot for the league champions with the runners-up facing Hawick in the play-off .Last season we reached the play-off and met Gala. At the end of the match the Marr players mulled over a missed opportunity and set themselves the goal of going one better.
