Marr Rugby - senior squad selections for 21 April 2018 and weekend preview: 3s head for battle at West Lodge v Whitecraigs 2s while in mini/youth rugby S2s entertain Dunfermline followed by Sunday action as Minis Tournament 2018 is curtain-raiser for U15s cup match

It's a full on weekend of rugby action for Marr Rugby.

On Saturday we get underway at Fullarton as the S2s play a 'friendly' against Dunfermline RFC. KO is 2pm. If you want to get along and see some of the next generation of Marr Rugby senior players and spot a 1st XV player in the making get yourself up and on to the touchline.

While this match kicks-off the 3rd XV will be warming up in preparation for their away match against Whitecraigs 2nd XV. It's a bit of a step into the unknown as earlier in the season in the reverse fixture Whitecraigs were unable to field a team to fulfill the fixture so Marr gained a bonus point win. In recent weeks Whitecraigs have started to get some real momentum from some impressive results, including a thumping 57 - 0 home win against Cumnock. Whitecraigs 1st XV has now completed their season so we are hoping that their players are given a rest to allow a 'levelish' playing field.

Marr Rugby's 3rd XV is fast approaching their final matches of the season. They have worked hard and well in this first season in West 2 to secure third place in the league. As they go into the home straight they can reflect on the fact that their preparation, attitude and performances have helped add to Marr Rugby's achievements.

Win, lose or draw Marr Rugby will be a winner and the future continues to be bright.
