Marr Rugby's 7 squad enjoyed a day in the sun at Fort Matilda and with scenic views of the Clyde as a backdrop cruised through the Greenock Wanderers annual 7s tournament to lift the Fort Matilda Trophy, beating Glasgow Hawks (54-12) in the final..

On route they beat Birkmyre, Irvine and Hillhead Jordanhill.

During the matches Marr's players fully exploited the space available to capitalise on their pace and stamina. It was a great all round team performance with many fine tries that made it almost impossible to pick out a favourite. BUT - a highlight was in the second half of the final when under significant pressure from Hawks, attacking close to the try line Marr won turn-over ball and Dan Law broke out from defence. With Hawk's flyers in pursuit he sprinted the length of the pitch and scored.
