Marr Rugby Minis - P6 and P7 representing Scotland at Land Rover Tour Festival, Bath
After winning the Scottish qualifiers Marr Rugby's P6 and P7 are travelling to Bath as Glasgow Warriors representatives in the Land Rover Tour Festival where they will play the winning sides from England and Wales. They will also get to train and play alongside pro players from Glasgow Warriors, Bath and Cardiff Blues.

33 players from Marr will be involved and as part of Land Rover's sponsorship one lucky child will win a trip, with their parent, to the Rugby World Cup in Japan to be the Scotland Team mascot for the opening match against Ireland.

The experiences so far in competing in and winning the Scottish qualifiers and then taking part in the weekend at bath are superb for Marr's young players BUT what a fantastic prize awaits for one lucky Marr player. Well done to all involved and thanks to Glasgow Warriors and Land Rover and the coaches and parents who support Marr Rugby minis.

Saturday sees the penultimate match of the season for Marr and Cartha and with both sides still having lots to play for we are anticipating a cracking afternoon of rugby at Fullarton.

With league restructure now agreed Marr are already assured of a move next season up into the Premiership but they still want to finish off in style and as champions. It’s a neck and neck race with Jed and there is no margin for error.

Cartha arrive at Fullarton in a fight for survival in NL1. They are one of four clubs battling to avoid the two relegation spots. They must win to help ease their plight and as we know from previous encounters as well as our own performances in similar positions they will be going all out for maximum points. No quarter will be asked for or given.

Marr have had to deal with some enforced changes from last week’s squad. Dan Law's red card at Hamilton and subsequent suspension brings an end to his time in the purple and gold jersey. with 26 apperances over 2 spells at the club, Dan has been a huge figure for us during his time in Troon and heads back to New Zealand on Monday to kick on with his career at Hawke's Bay. We thank Dan for his effort and commitment during his Fullarton career and wish him all the best for the future, knowing he will always be welcomed back!

Stephen Adair suns himself in Florida so it’s fortunate that Ben Johnston and Curran McMillan are available with both enjoying a rare break from their work. In the backs, Gregor Paxton failed a head injury assessment and this means Richard Dalgleish switches to centre with Jack Scott starting on the wing. Gregor Ness remains sidelined with a hamstring problem but 17 year old scrum half Keir Macdougall is added to the bench and is likely to become the latest of this year’s group of Marr College U18’s to graduate from youth rugby into Marr Rugby’s 1st XV. The Marr College conveyor belt keeps rolling!

In recent weeks Marr have being playing with more precision and at a higher tempo and they will need to continue to deliver and build on this as the league race moves into the home straight.
