Marr Rugby’s first ever Ladies Lunch which was held as part of the last home match was a resounding success. With more than 60 in attendance this charity fundraiser saw £640 raised for the cancer charity Ballboys.

Credit for pushing forward arrangements for the event go to Jen Morrison, Paula Marshall and Jackie Hendrie. A pre-match lunch where the guests were entertained by Glenn Davis and Tony Peters was followed by the ‘match’ and then post match entertainment include a disco where there was much evidence that the ladies hadn’t lost their moves but some of the guys had matured to ‘dad dancing’ mode!

Many thanks also go to the local businesses that provided support through the donation of raffle prizes.
