Operation Phoenix update

Marr Rugby: Operation Phoenix update – building work starts (finally)!

On Monday 15 June Phase 1 and part of Phase 2 of the building works will commence. The works involve demolition of the fire damaged areas and a re-build that introduces an extension covering the former beer garden. This will give us new kitchen and players dining/function areas, improved toilet facilities, entrance, storage, additional fire exits and improved external security (shutters).

During the course of the works the intention is to maintain some level of use for the clubhouse, keep disruption to a minimum and ensure the changing room/gym facilities remain in use. Please though pay attention to any notices advising regarding this. We will post updates as the work progresses.

Thanks to all for patience and understanding in what has been a long process to get us to this stage. Particular thanks go to those who have helped us get to this stage and support the work ahead. This has been through time, skills/expertise and importantly those who have provided donations to Operation Phoenix that are helping fund our improvement work.

If you want to help, please contact Kevin Quinn, Glenn Davis or Jim Caldwell. You can leave a message on the website or at the club 01292 311133 and we will get in touch.

The Phoenix rises and future remains purple and gold!
