Wilko scrum time!

Marr rekindle old rivalry with Cartha

MARR RUGBY 1ST XV versus CARTHA QUEENS PARK, TENNENT'S NATIONAL LEAGUE 1 at DUMBRECK 12 30pm KO.

MARR 3RD XV versus GHK 2ND XV TENNENTS WEST LEAGUE 1 at FULLARTON KO 12 30 pm.

Marr will rekindle their old rivalry from four years ago, when they take to the field at Dumbreck against Cartha Queens Park.

Many of our supporters will remember the remarkable match, back in March 2014, when this last league game was a ‘winner takes all’ in the old National League A [old division 2].

On that day Marr held on, with only thirteen men left on the park, to win the league by a very close score of 12 points to 7.

Saturdays match is expected to be as closely fought an affair, as Cartha last week defeated Aberdeen Grammar away from home. With this year’s league throwing up many surprising results, Marr will certainly be showing Cartha the utmost respect.

Marr’s starting line-up has only three changes from last week, with Olli Rossi starting instead of Stephen Adair, who takes his place in the bench, Findlay Hazel replaces his brother Ali at scrum half and Ross Miller comes in at number 8, instead of Angus Johnston who has work commitments.

Marr are looking for their usual purple and gold army to cheer the boys on in this local derby encounter.
