MARR HEAD TO BORDERS FOR TOUGH TEST

Matches MARR 1st XV versus SELKIRK [kick off 3pm] TENNENTS NATIONAL DIVISION 1
MARR 2nd XV versus Watsonians [match has been cancelled]
MARR 3RD XV versus ALAN GLENS TENNENTS WEST RESERVE LEAGUE 1

The week after Marr’s 1st XV excellent away victory against Aberdeen Grammar, we face yet another tough away game. The Borders is the destination and we face SELKIRK, who will be looking to bounce back after a narrow loss to Dundee. Both head coaches will be aware of the last time we played SELKIRK in March of 2017, when Marr won a very tight away fixture 12 – 22.

Craig Redpath has announced an unchanged back division, however has changed two forwards. Stephen Adair replaces Ollie Rossi at hooker, after Ollie broke a finger against Aberdeen and Fraser Grant replaces Dan Law after Dan received a head knock in the same match. The ever reliable Richie McNicol comes onto the bench as well as 2nd XV captain Josh Evans.

Marr will be eager to keep their winning run going, however, Selkirk head coach Graham Marshall will be happy at a number of regulars returning for this vital home tie.

Marr’s 2nd XV are really disappointed to not to able to field a team for the second week in a row due to unprecedented injuries in their front row. Hopefully next week some players will return after injury.

The 3rd XV will entertain Allan Glens at Fullarton so if you follow the purple and gold and you cannot make the trip to Selkirk, please get along to Marr and cheer for the 3rds. You can also follow live updates from Selkirk via the Marr Rugby twitter feed.
