Our first season in the national league has been challenging to say the least. A roller coaster of a season has left us needing to win the last game to guarantee safety from the drop.

Our opponents this week are Hillhead/Jordanhill, currently sitting bottom of the division without a win this season. Hills have had an extremely difficult year with a mass exodus during pre season leaving them with bare bones in what is a very difficult league. Credit to them they have battled away and in recent weeks have nearly taken the scalps of Watsonians and Dundee. With three very talented Croatian internationalists as well as experienced campaigner AJ MacFarlane at scrum half, Marr are under no illusions how difficult this game will be.

To team news and Marr are near full strength. Unfortunately captain Stephen Adair suffered an injury at training and is not fit for selection. Scott Nimmo also remains unavailable.

Phil Siave will start at hooker, Ben Johnston is released from Ayr to join twin brother Gus and captain Paul Burke in the back row. Andrew Mill starts in the centre with Aaron Rankin on the bench.

The 2nds are also in action at Hughenden as they take on Hills 2A. Needing 2 wins from their last 3 league games, this is also a massive game for the 2nds in their push for promotion.
