Your probably aware that Sky has been discontinued due to its high costs.....

This facility was one of the few ''products'' that we have to attract people up....we are fortunate the RWC is on ITV3 and 4 !!!!!!

We need to come up with some suggestions as to how we can make this self financing....

A couple of initial thoughts are...

• Find a firm to sponsor the screen, give them a permanent banner above it or something and absorb some of the cost there.

• Put a cash box out when its on and ensure people visiitng know they are obliged to stick a couple of nuggets in for the service.

Whats the thoughts? is it missed? how can we pay for it...

I phone Sky yesterday and they quoted £350 per month, inclusive of Setanta. Hopefully Ali Kerr can come up with a shorter term deal, as it is a minimum 12 month contract.

Troon Portland Golf Club and the Bowling club run a weekly Joker as a fundraiser. Both have raised over £1000 per annum.
Does'nt cost anything to set up and is easy to run. £1 per ticket and weekly prize draw

One of the things we need to get sorted is our status as a Club...which nonone seems to know...What council tax band are we...?...

The price of £350 is for public houses...that can allow non-members in...which we cannot..

Theres always ways and means...
