The bearer of bad news I’m afraid. The under16’s drew 36 - 36 but the rules state that no extra time is played and the team who scored the most tries wins. This is also hard to take as we were up 24 - 7 just before half time. Some careless tackling and 2 of the matches 3 sin binnings left Marr wide open in the centre for too long allowing B’muir to come back and take the lead. The game was drawn by a penalty. Initial thoughts were that Marr had won due to the fact that they had scored first but a closer look at the competition rules showed that in fact B’muir were the victors. A strong performance from the boys who stepped up to the plate well off the back the previous weeks crickets scores.
